My Coursework

In this capstone course taught by Dr. Jeff Meyer, my team partnered a local business, Hill Electric, to create a digital marketing strategy aimed at increasing their residential customer base. We conducted a full analysis of their market position and proposed actionable solutions, including SEO improvements, a referral program, email marketing campaigns, and a stronger social media presence. I drafted a referral program from the ground up and was able to implement it for Hill to grow their customer base. Below are some PDF links showcasing select projects I completed in collaboration with Hill Electric.

Consumer Science 555 - Consumer Design Strategies

During my time on campus, I dove into a mix of consumer psychology, digital strategy, data analysis, and marketing communication. The hands-on projects, collaborative group work, and real-world case studies really helped me build a solid foundation in marketing principles and digital media. Each class was a scenario to tackle new challenges, which sharpened my skills in research, analytics, content creation, and strategic thinking.

Journalism 564 - Media and the Consumer

In this research-driven course taught by Dr. Jisoo Kim, I studied how media and marketing intersect to shape consumer perceptions and behavior. For our final project, my team conducted a quantitative research study exploring the impact of public figure endorsements on consumer purchasing decisions in the health and wellness industry. We designed and distributed a survey to Gen Z respondents, analyzing their trust in influencers, engagement habits, and concerns around transparency and misinformation. This project strengthened my skills in consumer research, ethical analysis, and data interpretation within the context of modern digital marketing.
